Yesterday I saw that a lot of people were writing about things that make them smile. I decided to participate because I obsessively read a bunch yesterday, which made me smile.

I have been thinking about what I will put on my list. So let’s have a little fun, because why not?!

Twenty things that make me smile, happy, or laugh.

1. When Eris (my dog) gives me the side eye, she is one sassy dog.
2. The smell and feel after a thunderstorm.
3. When I make a new recipe, and it turns out better than expected.
4. The night sky full of stars on a clear night and the moon.
5. When animals look right at me and hold eye contact.
6. Roadtrips that involve loud country music, windows down, and not a car in sight.
7. Good tea. Open for interpretation, but usually loose leaf and always a gift someone got in London.
8. Walking barefoot.
9. When anything I plant grows and produces fruit or a flower.
10. Flowers, especially daisies, daffodils, wildflowers, and untamed weeds that look like flowers.
11. Plantains, cooked any way, bonus if I do not have to cook them.
