Lately, I have been reading everyone’s ¨Deep Dives¨.
Let me tell you, I absolutely love reading anything that asks you questions on why you have decided on something, just like the ¨10 Ways to Get to know me challenge¨. I read obsessively!
So why not? So let’s deep dive into my deep dive about Medium.
How did you hear about Medium? If there is an interesting story behind it, please share it.
I had a free Medium account since around 2015; I would randomly share my YouTube videos here. I thought it was another platform to get views on my video, but now I have learned I was misusing it.
However, when I started writing, I already had over 100 followers; apparently, a few people did watch my videos, and every so often, I would laugh that Medium paid me .01 cents.
Then in 2020, I was laid off and obsessively searched for a job while living in Argentina during the pandemic. Crickets, no one would hire me as an online nurse.
They wanted me to work in the hospital, and I refused. No amount of money would make me return to a career that slowly killed my soul for 15 years.
