Do you think living abroad is as easy as picking up and moving? Especially to Colombia
Moving to a new country is hard. It is something that so many people are afraid to admit; maybe it takes away the allure, the fantasy life of living and moving abroad. Also, so many think, oh, it’s an emerging country or 3rd world, they will just let you in because you are from a first world; no, that is bullshit.
Ask anyone who moves abroad and obtains a residential visa or long-term visa or has to deal with immigration in any way. They will tell you it’s not easy.
I am not good at sugar coating much of anything. Unless I know you want a fantasy. Then yes, I can fluff up a beautiful reason for you to do XYZ.
It is the same as being a nurse; if you want to be a nurse, it’s ugly, and you do wipe butt for 60% or more of your career. Mostly, your bedside nurses, which I am. No one will tell you that in nursing school or a job interview, they don’t want to scare you.
