Does Having Regrets Give You Hope For The New Year To Come?

Sobriety and regrets of past years of boozing

I hope next time I go to Machu Picchu I see it

It’s New Year’s Eve. Usually, this day was spent working a 12-hour shift or preparing for a night of boozing. On the 1st, I would almost always request to be off work since I always considered New Year’s Eve and New Years’ drinking holidays.

I didn’t have to be with the family, and I lived in LA. There was always a hot party and always complimentary Champagne at midnight. I hate holidays, but I love Champagne and dancing.

It’s 8 pm, and I just finished dinner with my Colombian family. I am in a flannel shirt and workout pants from my walk from earlier and sneakers. My boyfriend plays video games, and his mother is on the phone.

The dog is staring at me; she is always under my feet or somewhere she can see me. She’s my little shadow. It’s incredible how she never leaves my side, and of course, I absolutely love it.

Eris is at my side as always
