Every time I step onto US soil, my body goes into rejection

I am convinced that the US hates me. I am back in the states as of Friday night.

Being back in LA is always surreal, as I lived here for almost my entire adult life, and this is where I spent the bulk of my career. It will always hold a special place in my heart.

However, it is now a city that I do not recognize, which is how I feel when I return to the US. A country that gave me so much now is unrecognizable.

You are most likely wondering, but Sara, how does the US hate you? Ok, it might not hate me, but my body goes into an instant rejection of me being here.

I was here in July also; yes, I flew back and forth twice already this year. This time because I had to leave for visa reasons, a bit unexpected, a bit expected.

When I came in July, I had the most horrible head cold, stuffy nose, allergies, and headache as soon as I landed. The entire front of my face felt like I got hit with a baseball bat. Yet that was it, I had a cough, cold, allergies; who knows, all I know is that it was awful, but no body aches, negative covid test, and overall the inability to breathe it lasted about a week, and then I was like normal.
