for me quitting alcohol just helped me propel forward in life, plus i had a little dependence on it.

I am a believer that it is never too late, i will be 42 this month, i thougth I would of returned home and go back to work, but now that sounds like torture.

I came to Colombia 3 years ago and knew I loved it. So when I had the chance to come back and get a visa I figured a way to make it work. not sure if its my forever home, but def living more rural and nomadic will always be the way of life.

The machismo here is better than it was 3 years ago. I would love to go to new zealand and the english speaking countries are way easier to navigate. Plus if you are a doctor, so many companies are hiring remote or tele medicine docs. I worked remotely for a while, once you realize leaving the traditional work life is easy it will open up your to so many different opportunities. but the first step is always the hardest.

Yes i cant wait for the world to become a bit more open.
