Healthcare in the USA is the best in the world, right?
True or False?

Did you know that healthcare outside of the USA is horrible?
It is so bad that if I got sick in another country, I would demand a flight back to the US.
I would also gladly hand them over my 401K, finances, and everything I own if I get sick in the US. (first two sentences are sarcasm, the last one kind of true if you do not have health insurance in the US, such as I)
So why do most “Americans” think that healthcare in the US is the best? My boyfriend had a minor medical procedure yesterday in Medellin, and a friend said, “I would never have anything done in another country and specifically the 3rd world”. I laughed, and I said I would only get a procedure in another country.
I used to think this; also, I used to be blinded by the “we are American, we are the best, our healthcare is expensive because it’s the best.” Now, when I hear these statements, they make me sick to my stomach.
It makes me think, damn, we are some arrogant bastards, aren’t we. Everything in the US is the best.
