We all have our stories, and many have trauma and tragedy as an underlying theme.

Sometimes when I read stories of those around me, I sit for a few minutes after reading and think.

How did they survive?

I am not sure if I could have gone through that and still be standing today.

I live in Colombia, and I love this country, but it is not without its pain, especially in the women, and so many do not have a voice for their pain.

If you have ever been to Colombia, you will notice how the people here are what makes you want to come back. When I traveled throughout South America, it was a running theme that almost every tourist, traveler vacationer would say Colombia is their favorite country and mine.

Yet when you tell Colombian’s this, they are a bit shocked. Also, if you ask a Colombian if you should visit their country, they will say to you, yes, but it’s dangerous.
