My soursop tree has started producing fruits. Here soursop is known as guanabana, which for the life of me I can not pronounce.

I check on my plants every morning, especially after two days of nonstop rain. I found one on the ground; it was completely black, which meant it had contracted some fungus, and at least 30 fruits maybe be at risk of ruining.

That is a lot of fruit to waste.

I am already struggling with birds eating my avocados and trying to train my dog how to chase them off, she does not understand, but I hope she will eventually catch on.

My boyfriend says to let them eat the avocados as we can not reach them all to pick, but I disagree; I tell him I am not offering a free buffet for all the birds. Which means we are eating a lot of avocados.

So I continue throwing sticks like a crazy lady, keeping the birds away from my avocados, and picking as often as possible.
