I ask myself the question all the time! So freaking true, i do not like to refer to myself as an ex-pat, it makes me feel gross. I know i am priviledged living in colombia earning little, yet still more than the locals i have a good life. I bought a washer the other day used, for less than 100$ for me its cheap. I said something the other day about xyz is cheap, and he looked at me, and i felt horrible. I always have to remind myself for me it is cheap, for him it is half his salary.

I am constantly checking my priviledge at the door. This article def makes us think, especially those of us who have chosen to relocate.
