I currently live in the countryside of colombia. The other day my boyfriend, a Paisa, told me cars are being robbed on the coast. This morning i got a text from a friend, the paramilitary are burning cars, robbing and killing people in the north also.

So yea Colombia is not doing so great right now. I live in an area where there is no cocoa plants, since about 20 years ago the paramilitary came in and killed off all the people or they fled.

So it is a bit scary at the moment, I sit here and wonder, should i just leave now, or wait until the elections, and not leave my house.

Who knows, my boyfriend just said "welcome to Colombia" since the instability has never gone away. Its just sometimes better than other times.

Its almost like either president who wins, there will be instability for a while, more murders.. who knows.
