I live in the countryside of Colombia and like anywhere it took some adjusting. I would say it took at least 9 months for me to be ok and accept the way of Colombia. I now take the ¨no pasanada¨approach.. Nothing really bothers me, and I enjoy living simply! Yet so much of what you said is why most foreigners dont last in a developing country. It is hard. great article.
