I think it is tied to latino machismo, and the old way of thinking that the woman needs the man to be protected. Yet my boyfriend knows I have traveled the entire world alone, yet he was not my BF then. He does want to protect me I think. Yet I am too independent for this. We have come to a compromise, and communication is key!

It is so interesting to me as well. Also all his friends asked why I was alone, so i think that had a lot to do with it.

I think also he wanted to travel, then i felt kind of bad!

I will not give up that space to reconnect to me, i think my devotion to myself and my health is the most important in the world.

What do you think you need to do to get the "me" back in your life?
