Is it Consistency or Luck?

Do I have the answer? No. Only my experiences

I ask myself this question at least twice a day. I am terrible at doing many things, like studying, learning Spanish, and making YouTube videos.

Yet, do I enjoy doing these things? I wouldn’t say I like studying, but I am learning by living in the country, which I love. Plus, I am chatty; I want to talk to people versus learning in a classroom! (real-life study is the best for me!)

Yet this article is going to be more about my YouTube journey. I often tend to do things I am bad at until I get good at them or until I am bored.

Recently, my YouTube channel got monetized. Before your mind goes to money, it’s not that much. It’s like writing on Medium when you have few readers; it’s pennies, maybe a dollar a day.

Yet, it is as if I have hit the lottery. Why?

I have been making videos for at least four years, maybe 5, I can’t remember. Yet, I was inconsistent.

I would upload when I thought something was interesting enough to film or when I felt like it. At this point, I had no motivation; I was working remotely and had no idea how to film or edit.

My early videos were much worse than the ones I am making now, and I still have a long way to go…
