Its so interesting to read your perspective, I feel the opposite. I mean as in it seems that everyone is outside and on vacation. It could be because I just left a major tourist area and it was jam packed.

I am out and about, but i live a more insulated life almost 99% of the time, even when i am traveling I have learned to put my needs first and have so many times rented an air b and b and spent two days reading a book, and only left for food. I did this in Lima for 2 days, and then of course felt guilty, but that was over 3 years ago, i have changed so much since then.

I agree that we need to rest, so many feel guilty, living with a colombian, he has taught me that resting is not something i should ever feel guilty doing.
