New Regulations Upon Entering Colombia; May 2022

Changes in Colombia are happening in regards to the Corona Virus. As of yesterday, there was an announcement in some newspapers online that restrictions will be easing up as of May 1, 2022.

So, according to the news source I found online, the new limits will be the following. (link here)

Facemasks will no longer be required in most public spaces ( I assume the place can make their discretion).

The use of needing proof of a vaccine has been lifted; you no longer have to show proof of vaccination. Yet, with anything here, the business may still want you to. It is Colombia.

To enter Colombia, all you now will need is a PCR or an Antigen 48–72 hours before arrival. If you are vaccinated, you will not need a PCR or Antigen test.

A few things that will not change. We still need to use a facemask on public transportation, health facilities, and education.

If you are coming from a cruise ship you need to be fully vaccinated and need a PCR test.

These new rules are expected to start on May 1.

With all this said, it can change at any moment. When I came to Colombia last July to enter, I did not have to have a vaccine nor PCR. So the rules here in…
