Santa Fe de Antioquia: A Pueblo Preserved in Time
This past weekend, we visited Santa Fe de Antioquia.

It has been on my list of must-visit places for a while, yet I never seemed to make it there. So when my partner suggested going away for the weekend, I was ecstatic.
After booking the hotel, I went down the rabbit hole of “everything we must do, see, and eat.” We, of course, did not accomplish everything on the list, but I will share what we did do, along with my thoughts on “The Mother City.”
Santa Fe de Antioquia is located approximately 1.5 hours from Medellín and 2.5 hours from Jericó. The road to Santa Fe de Antioquia is well-maintained. If you travel to many pueblos, you will notice that the roads there can be challenging.
Santa Fe de Antioquia, however, is not just any pueblo; it holds the title of being the first capital of Antioquia and the oldest town in the region.
