Small Town Friday Night; Colombian Style

A simple life

Sometimes we go out on Fridays. If it is raining we stay home. The town starts to come alive on Friday nights.

The food vendors come out; the trampoline is put up in the square for the kids.

Like most small towns in Colombia, there is a town square. In the town square, there is always a church. Full of people going in and out.

Around the square are tables full of locals talking and drinking coffee and beer — any time of day.

The farmers ride their horses into town and tie them up outside the restaurant or bar-my favorite part. Seeing the horses patiently wait.

Normal weekend!

It is a simple life. It is an escape from the big city. My town is a locals hot spot; many come from around the area to camp and spend the weekend.

They will visit the waterfall and enjoy time with their families.
