The End

How do we know if it is the end or the beginning?

Most of us have heard of the hero’s journey. If you haven’t, it is the start of a journey that leads to failure, growth, death, rebirth, revelation, change, atonement, gift, and a return but changed.

We each go through many of these trials and tribulations in our lifetime, whether we know it or not.

It will happen.

A friend recently went through one, and he messaged me that everything was now so clear. He spent the last two months in a dark hole.

He was up and down, and eventually, he said ¨ Something changed¨. He had no idea one decision he made would spiral him essentially into his hero’s journey.

Now, he has returned a changed man. No, he did not go anywhere; it was all internal.

A hero’s journey can happen at any time. It does not mean you sell everything and embark on a quest. Yet it could.

It can be as subtle as a breakup, quitting a job, or any change in your life to spark you into the depths of hell, and sometimes the journey takes longer than anticipated.

Never knowing if I am still wandering in darkness or while in the darkness, I reset the clock.
