this was great! finally a balanced view of both sides, you are so spot on here on medium it is all or nothing. I lay in the middle like you I have been a registred independent my entire voting career... i have voted for both.

I think once more people start to see that both extreme side are toxic a balance will come, or i feel it will be the end, as it seems the extremists are out for blood. both sides.
