We are officially thieves, but if it’s for a good cause, is it wrong?

Yes, we stole on Friday night. Me and my boyfriend, but he was a bit tipsy, so it doesn’t count, does it? Maybe I am just an accomplice?

It was for a good cause, I swear, that is what all the criminals say, isn’t it. So are we now criminals? Maybe, my boyfriend already has the typical ¨bad boy¨ look, so perhaps I am the Bonnie to his Clyde.

So you are probably wondering what we stole and why we are not in jail. Colombian jail must be pretty intense.

For the past month, there has been a dog every time we go into the local bar. She is always sleeping in the stairwell, is very malnourished, has no collar, and is full of ticks and fleas.

My boyfriend kept telling me; I want this dog; she is so cute and sweet, and I think a puppy. So for the past three weeks, he has been asking around about her.

Does she have a home? Does anyone know who owns her? He came up with nada. No one owns her; she is a dog of the streets.

So on Friday night, when he was a bit ¨tipsy¨, and she was scrounging for food in the bar, the bar owners, who are his friends, said she is not ours, and we do not want her.
