What Does Living Off-Grid Look Like To Me? Who Wants To Dream While Awake?
Are you a dreamer? Do you get stuck in the HOW phase for too long?
“As only dead leaves allow the wind to blow them to and fro, never allow yourself to be swayed by popular opinion.”
― Matshona Dhliwayo
I am a dreamer. I always have been since the days of mixing mud “soup” in my “cauldron” as a child. It was magic soup, and when you drank it, you could have any wish you desired.
I used to sit and talk to my dog about the sky and the trees. I was wondering what they were saying to each other. We ran through the woods playing cops and robbers and making a lean too, and clubhouses hid deep in the forest where we lived.
Never a dull moment in a child’s brain, well, my brain anyway. The thing is, most of us grow out of this “silly” phase, as our parents call it. I would not know if my parents called it silly since they were not around long enough to say.
I feel that they were both dreamers as well. They dreamt of a world they never knew existed, but it did exist. In the woods of Kentucky, set back deep in the holler.
