Yea, me either until a quick little google search.

I did know of 2 people recently; one was a woman named Angela Maxwell, and the most recent one was Tom Turcich and his dog Savannah.

Yes, he walked with a dog. I have been following him on Instagram since 2020. They just completed their journey in May 2022, and it took them seven years, including spending all of 2020 on the road.

The first person to do this was a man named Dave Kunst. His motivation for doing it is because it was something that had never been done before. He and his brother John started the walk in June 1970, but John did not finish the walk with him.

John was murdered in Afghanistan.
