yea no one speaks english its very rare! unless you are in a very very touristy area!

…and Spanish and I can also speak it well enough to make myself understood. This came in quite handy. Really few people seem to know English in Colombia, so the only way to get some insights here and there from the locals was to communicate with them in their own tongue.
